Live abroad online, legally

Guides to overseas bank accounts, foreign phone numbers, e-wallets, brokerage, companies and tax IDs, organised by region and difficulty, each with a last-verified date and official sources.

A “net resident” keeps a legal digital presence in a country or region without living there: a bank account, a mobile number, a payment app, a brokerage account, sometimes a company or a tax ID. This site organises how to do that by region, and within each region by level (Start, Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced), so you know what each step requires, costs and risks before you begin.

As of October 2026 the guides are written in Traditional Chinese (a Simplified Chinese edition is generated automatically). English translations will follow, starting with the most requested guides. The region links below open the Chinese guides.
